God's Supernatural Works

I trust and pray your Thanksgiving celebration was a restful, peaceful, and joyful time with family and friends and most of all that your celebration was a fruitful time of reflection of all the blessings God has poured out into your lives. All month we have practically fulfilled what is written in Psalm 145:10 in our giving thanks to God for what He has done, his works are returning to him in praise. The month is not over simply because Thanksgiving is. I desire to join the hand of Thanksgiving with the hand of Christmas this morning. Some of the works of God are labeled as "supernatural" meaning there is no frame of reference in our daily observance to explain what God has done. These things are remarkable and miraculous, yet undeniable and true. One of the greatest enemies of faith in Jesus Christ is the belief that who we are, what we do, and what we experience is all just a matter of natural processes, simple cause and effect. The Bible, our history, and perhaps even your individual life is filled with works that cannot be explained through natural processes, rather then calling these things coincidences I choose to call them supernatural events from an all powerful Lord, God almighty. Included in this type of event is the virgin birth of a small baby boy who grew up to prove he is God incarnate, or Immanuel, "God with us".  -Pastor Andrew
