A Truly Changed New Year

It is an honor to be a part of welcoming you to the new year of 2019. Every year we go through a moment like this one filled with a fresh sense of new things. The reality is our circumstances might not have changed much between December 31 and January 1 yet when January hits a new sense of opportunity comes with it. Here is the most important thing I can share with you with respect to the New Year, It is what you believe that will change this year for the good and not merely what you do. My challenge and calling to all who hear is to not focus on changing your physical actions this year but focus on the spiritual realities of what you believe about the most important questions we face as human beings. The Bible says as your mind changes its beliefs and focus actions follow suit (Romans 8:5-7, Philippians 2:5-7). When God is the one who changes our minds, He is able to accomplish actions in and through us greater than we ever thought was possible. Please allow me to suggest to you reading and studying the Bible and worship of God as good tools to accomplish this change of mind. May God do more than we could ever imagine in our lives this year and the many years to come.  -Pastor Andrew
